Trapped in a concrete jungle, pursued by a mysterious mechanical threat, and faced with the dangers of a crumbling society, one hero must rely on his wits, his blade, and his board to survive. He's got to be careful though. His fight to defend himself has put him in the sights of some very dangerous individuals, and this whole thing might go even deeper than anyone could have imagined.   

AUTHOR’S NOTE

I'm Tim Barber, and I am an up-and-coming independent comic book artist currently residing in Boston, MA. I've been entrenched in skateboarding and the culture surrounding it since my early childhood, and I still skate as often as possible to this day. Skateboarding is the coolest thing I can imagine. Period. In spite of everything that works against it, skateboarding prevails. No matter how many times security guards are called, no matter how many signs are posted boasting the tagline "NO SKATEBOARDING", and no matter how much hostile architecture is utilized to prevent skateboarders from using public spaces, skateboarding still exists.

SHREDMAN has seen the release of its first, second, and third issues with a fourth on the way. I'm excited to share my work with the world both inside and outside the context of skateboarding, because the story I am choosing to tell is about fighting evil, doing what's right, and holding on to the things that make us human. You won't want to miss it.
